Authorless Beta Program Agreement

Effective Date: 4 July, 2025

Welcome to the Authorless beta program! Thank you for helping us test and improve our AI content marketing platform ("the Service"). We're excited to have you on board.

This Beta Program Agreement ("Agreement") outlines our relationship during the beta. By accessing or using this pre-release version of the Service, you ("Tester," "You") agree to these terms with 10 Kinds of People Ltd ("We," "Us").

This Agreement supersedes our standard Terms and Conditions for the duration of the beta program.

1. You Understand It's a Beta

You acknowledge and agree that this is an early, experimental version of the Service. This means:

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS."
  • It will contain bugs, errors, and inaccuracies. Key features, like content generation and publishing, may not work as expected or may produce unintended results.
  • We may change, update, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

2. Your Participation & Confidentiality

Simply by using the Service, you are providing us with invaluable insight. While you're under no obligation to provide detailed feedback, any thoughts, ideas, or bug reports you choose to share are incredibly helpful.

In return for early access, we just ask for one thing: confidentiality. Please help us keep the project under wraps until the public launch. We kindly ask that you do not share screenshots, videos, or detailed descriptions of the Service on public forums, social media, or with anyone outside the beta program.

3. Please Read: Understanding the Risks of a Beta

This is the most important part. Because the Service is experimental, you understand and accept the following risks:

  • Publishing Errors: A bug could cause unintended, erroneous, incomplete, or duplicate content to be published to your connected accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, your blog).
  • Data Loss: Any content, data, or settings you create in the Service could be permanently lost or corrupted. Please back up anything important.
  • Service Unavailability: The Service may be down or unavailable for periods of time without notice.
  • Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all content before you schedule or publish it using the Service. You are also solely responsible for any consequences that come from the content you publish.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any damages whatsoever arising from your use of the beta Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Damages to your reputation or business from publishing errors.
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

In the event that we are found liable for any reason, our total liability to you will not exceed one hundred pounds sterling (£100).

5. Intellectual Property & Indemnification

While our Main Terms are superseded, these core principles still apply:

  • Your Content Ownership: You retain full ownership of any content you generate using the Service ("Generated Content") and any materials you provide as input ("User Content").

  • Our License to Operate: To run and improve the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your User Content and Generated Content, but only as necessary to provide the Service to you.

  • Our Right to Use Public Content for Marketing: For the purposes of this section, we'll define "Promotional Content" as Generated Content that is inherently public-facing, specifically blog posts, social media posts, and any accompanying AI-generated images.

By participating in the beta program, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, and display any Promotional Content you create for our marketing and promotional purposes.

For clarity, this license does not apply to Generated Content of a private or strategic nature, such as sales emails, call scripts, internal reports, or business plans. Your private and confidential content remains yours alone, and we claim no marketing rights to it.

  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of any third-party rights (including copyright infringement or defamation).

6. Your Feedback (If You Choose to Share It)

If you choose to share feedback with us, thank you! Please know that any ideas, suggestions, or bug reports ("Feedback") you provide help us improve the Service for everyone. By sharing Feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and irrevocable license to use, modify, and incorporate it into our products and services without any compensation to you.

7. A "Thank You" for Your Support

As a special thank you for being a part of our beta program, users who upgrade to a paid plan during the beta period will receive a 20% discount off the pay monthly price for their first 3 months.

This offer is our way of showing our appreciation for your early support. The offer is non-transferable and has no cash value.

8. The Legal Stuff

  • Privacy: Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is incorporated into this Agreement.
  • Acceptable Use: You agree to abide by the user conduct rules outlined in Section 3 ("User Responsibilities") and Section 20 ("Compliance with Platform Policies") of our standard Terms and Conditions.
  • Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • Termination: We can terminate your access to the beta program at any time, for any reason. You can stop participating at any time by simply ceasing to use the Service.
